As part of the project “Valley of the Abbeys”, promoted by the Union of Municipalities of the Middle Hills Vomano in partnership with the municipalities of Castel Castagna, Notaresco and Morro d'Oro and support ITHACA – Association for Local Development, is coming in a rich program of events for the Feast of the Immaculate days 5/6/7/8 December next.
Municipalities and ITHACA promoted under the brand “Valley of the Abbeys” coordination of events and activities organized by institutions and associations. It is a first attempt to create dialogue between local actors in the interests of territorial cooperation.
The program proposes the “Strenne Market” in the hamlet of Castellalto, the cultural and gastronomic “Turkey Winter” Canzano and the “Cabaret” Morro d'Oro, Guided tours of the abbeys of S. Mary Hum (Castel Castagna), S. San Salvatore (Canzano), San Clemente al Vomano (Guardia Vomano Notaresco), S. Maria Propezzano (Morro d’Oro).
In addition to, a group of walkers recruited through a call for participation (it is curious, Nature lovers, photo, videomaker, journalists, social addicted,…), cross the valley from San Gabriel to S. Maria Propezzano with the aim to demonstrate and tell in real time the potential offered by the itinerary of the Valley Abbeys, currently in the process of joining the network Routes of Europe, also in terms of balancing the tourism seasons.
For those interested, you can take all the way (3 nights 4 days with lunches, dinners and overnight stays at tourist facilities) or do some of the daily stages. E’ ITHACA also guaranteed by a service and luggage transport.
You should note that the portal www.valledelleabbazie.it offers visitors and tourists the possibility to preview a 3D virtual tour of the monuments and to access information on tourist services available, even from mobile devices.
