Swing, bebop, hard bop, fusion, tributes to great musicians like Duke Ellington, Bill Evans, Thelonious Monk and McCoy Tyner, young stars of national and international jazz: it is all this and much more Abbeys Jazz Festival 2024, festival organized by Luzmek con la direzione artistica di Carlo Michini.
Dal 11 July to 5 agosto the most renowned jazz musicians on the national and international music scene will take turns as Kenny Barron and Rachel Z that, with the Italians Enrico Pieranunzi, Given Moroni, Tony Pancella and Antonio Faraò, together with young people Emmet Cohen, Alfredo Rodriguez, Claudio Filippini and Francesca Tandoi, will give life to an edition with a strong piano imprint.
It will then be the turn of two iconic guitarists Mike Stern and Frank Gambale and the volcanic Serena Brancale con il suo Baccala On Tour, and gradually other incredible musicians will take to the stages of the Abbazie Jazz Festival: Randy Brecker, Eddie Gomez, Avery Sharpe, Richard Bona, Dominique Di Piazza, Kiyoshi Kitagawa, Omar Hakim, Gregory Hutchinson, Joe LaBarbera, Bepi D'Amato, Rosario Giuliani and Chico Freeman.
